«The Museum Rietberg is dedicated to the art of traditional and contemporary cultures from Asia, Africa, America, and Oceania. Its collections comprise 32,600 objects and 49,000 photographs and, as far as the objects are concerned, are largely accessible to the public in the museum rooms and in the display depot.

The works in our museum tell us a lot about people and their perspectives; they tell us about communities, values, and possessions. They are testimony to outstanding skills and artistic expression. We ask questions about how we deal with history and look for new answers for the future. Our work raises awareness of social diversity.»

«Absolutely – the option of a seating plan is customer-friendly and allows guests to reserve their seats in advance. This means there are no unpleasant surprises or disputes locally. Another advantage for us is that we can block certain seats, which gives us more room for manoeuvre and security in our planning.»
